Should you ever need oral surgery, this is the place to go! I’ve had a dental implant in another city with a highly qualified oral surgeon and my second one with Dr. Healy. There is NO comparison! Dr. Healy’s practice is the BEST - from reception to assistants to Dr. Healy’s phenominal care, bedside manner, and sheer skill. I only had 3 shots and my procedure only took 25 minutes. Understanding the Factors
that Affect the Cost of Treatment
Putting a hard number on the standard cost of dental implants is difficult. Depending on a patient’s treatment needs, the cost can fluctuate greatly from case to case. However, several factors typically contribute to the total cost of treatment:
Placing implants in the jawbone is a fairly difficult procedure. Performing surgery in the small oral cavity and avoiding nerves, blood vessels, and other vital tissues requires a considerable level of skill. The overall cost of the procedure reflects the training and background necessary to safely provide treatment.
The more implants and abutments that are needed to restore your smile, the greater the overall cost of the procedure. However, depending on how many teeth are being replaced, our dentists may recommend restorations that can replace multiple teeth with fewer implants and abutments, such as dentures and bridges.
Implants require a certain amount of bone tissue to be successful. However, because tooth loss often leads to jawbone deterioration, many patients require procedures to improve their chances of success. Bone grafts and sinus lifts require additional surgeries, which contribute to the overall cost of the treatment.
Whether you are having just one tooth or an entire arch restored, the type of restoration will impact the final cost of dental treatment. A dental crown can be used to replace one tooth; a bridge for multiple consecutive teeth, and dentures can replace most or all of the teeth. A crown is the lowest cost option, while dentures are typically the most expensive.
The type of implant you choose also plays a significant role in the cost of treatment. For example, traditional dental implants are typically more expensive than mini or All-on-4® implants. In addition, surgeons often need to place a higher number of traditional implants to complete full arch restoration when compared to the All-on-4 technique.
In addition, the quality of the materials used to fabricate the restoration, along with the skill of the lab facility and technician, affect the cost of your prosthetic. The quality of your crowns, bridges, or dentures will affect your final treatment cost.
We offer four types of anesthesia and sedation for patients undergoing dental implant surgery: local anesthesia to numb the area surrounding a missing tooth and nitrous oxide, oral conscious sedation, and intravenous sedation to help you relax. IV sedation requires additional monitoring of the patient, and can result in a higher cost.

When dental implants are not covered by major dental insurance carriers, we will work with your dental insurance provider to get other services covered. Some coverage can be possible depending on the cause of the missing tooth. For example, medical insurance will often cover all or a portion of tooth extractions, sedation, and dental restorations.
In addition, certain out-of-pocket medical expenses, such as All-on-4 dental implants, can be tax-deductible. Consult a tax consultant or accountant on how to deduct these procedures.
