A New Mexico Native Happy to Be Home
Dr. Hurtado is a New Mexico native who was raised on his family's ranch in Holman. He trained as a dentist and surgeon at prestigious institutions in both Texas and Kentucky. As an already distinguished young surgeon, he had the opportunity to practice virtually anywhere. Dr. Hurtado chose to return home to our state.
Dr. Hurtado is trained in all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery. He has a special interest in dentoalveolar surgery, office-based anesthesia, dental implants, and bone grafting. Providing these life-changing procedures to the communities he grew up in is especially rewarding. Another factor that called him back home was the lifestyle. To this day, Dr. Hurtado loves ranching, the outdoors, and sharing these important parts of life in New Mexico with his beloved wife and kids.

Dr Diego Hurtado and his office and staff are just wonderful. Dr Hurtado answered all my many questions respectfully and with much patience and kindness. The extraction went well and the healing process also. He saw me for a follow up. He even noted that I should check out an unrelated tooth with my local dentist which turned out to have a cavity. I had 4 wisdom teeth removed. Dr. Hurtado performed the procedure and did a fantastic job. There were no issues with the overall procedure, and the procedure was complete in about one hour. Dr. Hurtado was more than willing to answer all my questions prior to and after surgery, and his staff would also give follow up phone calls to check on my recovery and provide guidance in the recovery process.
